Práctica evaluable 4. Opinion essay.

Almost everybody sees the Internet as a secondary media, something doubtful and that you can't trust, and that same people also think that TV, radio and press will continue as we know them nowadays for many years.

TV and radio, but specially TV have recently evolved in order to be able to compete on the web's field. Smart TVs and many other improvements, in my opinion, useless, have been developed just because the Internet has started to overtake the TV industry, but not everybody know this. This is just one of the reasons that make me think of the TV's decadency era.

Otherwise, radio has known how to get older, when you're second-best, you're always looking for ways to get better and reach the first place, this is known with the term "underdog", but the one who is in the first place, usually gets relaxed, stops innovating and generally gets worse, and that's exactly what has happened, the radio started offering its services on the web, keeping that way their listeners, but TV didn't and now it's too late. That's a very valuable factor in enterprises' economy called adaptation capacity. Another fact that makes me think of the TV's decadency is that, for the first time, in 2013 online investment overcame to the TV one in the USA, and this tendency is still like this.

I think that, still today, the internet is a brute diamond, there are many things that we haven't already discovered about it, things that would surprise us for sure, and in my opinion, it represents future today.

Práctica evaluable 3. Problem/solution essay.

Pollution and the greenhouse effect are issues that become more and more important everyday and we do almost nothing to solve it, but it's not as difficult as many people say. The Earth's atmosphere is composed of some different gasses as nitrogen, oxygen, water steaming a small percentage of CO2, but since the 21th century until now, this percentage is increasing, causing the greenhouse effect.

We could reduce CO2 emissions by limiting the usage of fossil fuels like coal or petrol, but this solution would affect negatively to many enterprises and the economy would get worse. Another way to reduce CO2 emissions could be by making electric vehicles more popular and offering people some king of help to buy one, but this solution would take a lot of time because not every car brands have developed their own one, so they would be in a hurry to produce that vehicle and they could not be as efficient as they're supposed to be, in addition to be badly developed because of the hurry. My last proposal consist of helping enterprises to change their fuel-powered engines to some electric ones, so they would be more efficient and many other enterprises would try to make the same in order to be able to compete with their competitors.

In conclusion, changing our planet's future is in our hands and it's still possible, I'm not here to fix the world but, with small ideas like those and a positive mentality we could do a lot for our planet, the only thing I know for sure is that, if we don't change our mind, this problem is not going to get solved and maybe, it will be too late when we try to do something.

práctica evaluable 1.

Something I really like is walking without thinking about where to go. I consider myself a very reflexive person and when I really want to think about something that worries me, I just start walking, that way, all m thoughts come by themselves, more fluent and clear. I also do this when I feel stressed or I can't find the solution for a problem. I just know a single person who do this too and when we met, while walking, the conversation becomes more interesting and we find more topics to speak about, however, when we stop and sit anywhere, it happens the opposite. In conclusion, this has helped me with some important decisions and I don't feel weir about it.

Essay.

Internet vs conventional media.
TV, radio and and many other media have recently lost much credibility and their popularity, either because of their lack of variety, fake news sold as true facts, or just because you're fed up with watching commercial after commercial.
Internet has many advantages that traditional media doesn't, and for the first time, in 2013 Online investment beat to the TV one in the USA, and in 2014 such an important news paper as The New York Times, was overtaken by other similar papers on the web.

Throughout history, communication has been the fact that has allowed us to evolve, and we have always been looking for new ways to improve it. In the 15th century the printing press allowed to reproduce the same document time after time very quickly in comparison with the traditional method of copying by hand. This also made possible a huge diffusion of the culture and reinvented communication and transmission of information between people. The next revolution came by the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th with the invention of the radio by Marconi, the radio made possible to send instant messages to other people who were listening them live. Invented in the 1920s and popularized after the World War II, the TV offered us moving images in addition to sound; news and actuality were brought to this medium and progressively TV shows and new channels were introduced, in addition to cinema's boom.

Everything looks great like this, but it's not that good, like everything by the hand of human being, those media got corrupted or controlled and became doubtful, but nowadays there is a media that can't be controlled or restricted, internet. Internet offers an infinite amount of content, variety, different and free opinions, actuality and flexibility to access to it, and it suprimes monotony because TV or cinema stars have now a huge competition, hidden by other media and who came up thanks to internet. But the best thing about this is that anyone can take part of this, you can give opinions, contrast information in a short time, and even do the things you used to do personally in determined places, right from your computer or your mobile.

In summary, internet offers many advantages over conventional media. Flexibility, variety, free opinions, debates, more simple, no manipulation, freshness, younger, and simply, more human, are aspects that characterize internet, it avoids super-productions and TV sets, so it's closer to the masses, and in consequence, more popular. Unlike before, mouth to mouth distribution is over and now people have 360º vision and we can choose, so now it's your turn to decide the way you want to be informed, I've already make my choice.

Essay. Opinion paragraph.

                                             New technologies applied to transports

For years, many brands have tried to introduce electric vehicles, but with no success, because big enterprises weren't interested in those projects, but now, electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular due to their low prizes and because they're more economical in the long term. Although fuel-powered vehicles control the market nowadays, electric vehicles are taking advantage over them, and they are making the bases of what transports will be in the future.

Not long time ago, small cars that could take two or even three people all around the city with an only battery charge were created, but many countries refused to introduce them, but now, great grands as Renault, Toyota and even BMW have created their own electric vehicles line, making them closer to the population. Those cars combine the ecological engine and the comfort of an electric car with the reliability of great brand names.

But not only cars' industry can build electric vehicles, recently, such a great brand as Harley-Davidson has created their first all-electric motorbike, the Harley-Davidson Livewire. Actually, it's just a project where the brand invites Harley owners to try their latest creation around the american geography, but it's also an excellent way to convince people of how an electric vehicle can be as good, or even better, as a traditional one. If this project finish successfully, Harley Davidson will start producing those bikes massively as one of their bikes.

In conclusion, electric vehicles offer reliability, low cost, great comfort, they produce no sound and eliminate pollution, it renews the market and offer new possibilities to expand and grow enterprises that will employ people and that would help to the economy. But if you still think that this is just a fashion and you're asking yourself why electric vehicles and not fuel powered ones, I'd tell you that we left Middle Age not because of a fashion, but because of the introduction of improvements.

Problem-Solution paragraph.

Global pollution is a problem which affects to all of us and can have terrible consequences. Always, but specially twentieth and twenty-first century, humans have been polluting the earth and we do nothing to solve it. We could reduce pollution by controlling CO2 emissions caused by petrol usage in factories and cars, but the problem is that petrol, nowadays, is one of the most important energy resources and it can't be limited or forbidden.
Another solution could be to investigate and discover new renovable energy resources, but they are very expensive and don't produce enough energy to be a real alternative, and finding such a powerful renovable resource would take very long.
I think the solution for that problem could be to use hybrid engines in cars, reducing that way the use of petrol, and use  natural gas as fuel in factories because it produces no wastes when it's burned, meanwhile new renovable and clean energy resources should be investigated.
Reducing, or even eliminate pollution is posible, but sometimes, enterprises are not interested in stop producing petrol because id the fuel which moves today's world and it's extremely well paid.

Comparing text: Two brands, two stories, one pride.

In this text I'll compare the two principal motorcycles brands in my blog, Harley Davidson and Triumph. They're both great bike builders, they were based in 20th century and almost in the same year, but Triumph became famous instantly and Harley found it a bit more difficult, but another similarity is that they both distributed motorcycles during the World War I, Triumph at the beginning and Harley after the entrance of the United States in the champaign, this event economically helped both companies, however, Triumph couldn't be able to keep growing up and Japanese companies became more popular due to their low prizes, but Harley could compete them thanks to their quality.
The last similitude is that both brands produced racing models used in many competitions, that helped them to make a place in the market as two of the greatest brands ever.

When he was Young. Description paragraph.

Today I'd like to leave the main subject of my blog on one side because of some news that I recently learned about, and which I couldn't overlook, the retirement of one of the greatest guitarists in the world due to some health problems. This is the story of Malcolm Young. Even though he was always under the shadow of his young brother Angus, AC/DC would have never had such a characteristic sound if it hadn't been for Malcolm. That's why he has become a reference for me, without being really noticed, he changed music histoy and the way many people thought about rock n roll. His generosity by giving his role of leading guitar to his younger brother Angus and all that it entails is for me an example of how music bands should be. Many of the intros or riffs that we all know like "Highway to Hell", "Thunderstruck" and an infinite list of songs were written by him, songs which are now on our imaginary. On stage his guitar was always second best, but in the backstage he was the leader and who took important decisions, paradoxically he had "the singer voice". This is not the first time he hags out his guitar, in 1988, after Brian Scott's death, he became aware of his alcochol addiction and decided to take a break untill he overcame it, he came back the following year. Today, at 61 years old his retirement becomes final due to dementia, and he's now at a famous residence in Sydney. I hope people to respect the privacy of one of the Rock's Hall of Fame members because it's a really hard disease and him to take it as well as posible. Thanks.

New triumph models!!

For those days I was visiting Triumph's web page looking for something to write when something called my attention, an special model of the Triumph Thruxton, something was different in that bike, it wasn't like the rest so I decided to investigate.
The Triumph Thruxton is inspired in the sixties, on an american bikes called 'coffee racers', they was called that way because they were used to race from coffee to coffee along the old roads like the route 66. They were very modified bikes prepared to reach a high speed in a short time and make a lot of noise, they used to be single-seater, making the bike more aerodynamic.
Putting all this together we get a babulous bike which mixes the sound, shape and style of coffee racers with the reliability and quality of a great brand as Triumph, making this bike one of the best ones.
